Children Ministry – Sunday School – This ministry is a very important part of our church. We have dedicated ourselves to help the parents in this so important task, the laying of the right biblical foundation in the children`s hearts. This happens through an easily accessible and understandable for the children way. Qualified volunteers (Dobrinka Kostova, Zlatina Dzhelebova, Evdokia Lencheva, Galia Vurbanova) prepare engaging Bible lessons, games, songs, and children programs. Jesus alone says for the children “Let the children come to me. Don`t stop them! For the kingdom of God belongs to those who are like these children” (Luke 18:16, NVT). The Sunday School is the best place where your child can spend useful and enjoyable time while you are at the Sunday morning service. We wish that one day your child will become a commendable citizen and gratifying Christian in this country.

     
     
     

Youth Ministry - We encourage the young people to grow in the knowledge of the Word of God thus letting it influence their lives; to develop a Christian fellowship amongst themselves by organising sport events, outings and excursions, watching videos or joint visits to other churches in the area.

We teach the youths to live in accordance with the advice given in the Romans 12:2 “ Don`t copy the behaviour and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way to think. Then you will learn to know God`s Will for you, which is good and pleasing and perfect”.

Only the young people can reach out to their own generation for Christ. And if you in your youth want to serve God, The Pentecostal Church in Elhovo is not only the place where you can develop spiritually, but also to get actively involved in a ministry. Invite a friend to come along with you and realise that God has a plan for your life. This is your time. Don`t miss it!

   

Worship– The praise and worship are an inseparable part of our services. Through the music and the songs our aim is to lift up God high, worship Him and that the Christians would be touched by His presence. No matter in what form, whether by musical instruments or without, with songs from the old songbook or with contemporary texts and refrains, weather singing quietly and conservatively or spontaneously and expansively, we all worship the Lord “with all of our heart, mind and soul and with all of our strength”. Worshiping pleases God and is good for us!

       

Men Fellowship – This ministry focuses on helping men to develop a godly like character by the power of the Holy Spirit. The challenge for them is to realise and understand what it means to be men of faith and to act as real men of God at their work place, in the society, in church and most of all in their homes (Genesis 18:19).

The men gather together on a regular basis to share, discuss and most of all to pray. “ And the men everywhere to lift up holy hands in prayer…” 1 Tim. 2:8

 

Women Fellowship – Through this ministry women from all age groups and social status have the opportunity to develop good fellowship and unity with each other, to build up new friendships, to share God`s Word ( in a home atmosphere or at church) and to grow in the knowledge of God`s Will. Apostle Paul says: “ and find out what pleases God” Ephesians 5:10.

God delights for the women to help each other, to be an example in words and deeds, to be witnesses of the Gospel, to bring the Good News to their neighbours and colleagues and to find their place in the Church of Jesus Christ.

   

Prayer ministry “Our future depends on our prayer today”. We believe in the power of the prayer. If we want a good future for ourselves, our children, our country we need to pray now. Only the prayer changes circumstances and makes things different. This is why our church puts an emphasis on the prayer and we have regular and special prayer meetings, joint church days of fasting and prayer. If you stand at the sea shore and a wave crashes into you, you will feel it but you would not see what actually have caused it. You may not understand how the prayer exactly works but when it is sincere and diligent in front of God then it bears visible and tangible results (Jacob 5:6).

Missionary work work – Our church is not a closed society of people, but Christians with a missionary orientation, because we know how important and precious the human soul is in front of God! For it the highest possible price was paid; it was not paid with money, gold, silver or precious stones, but with the blood of Jesus Christ, the Son of God! By spreading the Good News in the city and surrounding areas, setting up churches in the region, we reach out to the people for Christ, thus wanting to show God`s love.

Faithful to the call and principle “the disciples went out and preached everywhere”. Mark 16:20a.

 

Home groups – Getting involved in a home is a brilliant opportunity to other Christians in a closer circle of people; build up Christian relationships, praise and worship, the Bible readings, participate in discussions and express your point of view on variety of topics.

 

Social work – The social work in our church is carried out in two directions:

Visits – This ministry is called “Part of us” Its purpose is to inspire courage and spiritual strength into all those, who due to circumstances, beyond their control, can not attend our church services. Through these visits we want to serve the sick , the distressed, the lonely, so they can feel part of us, the Church in Elhovo (Galatians 6:10).

 

OrphansOrphans – Every Christian is called by God to show mercy to the orphan and the widow; and we follow this appeal seriously and responsibly. Within our means we help the local orphanage with food, clothes and other things of first necessity.
